"It's very surreal touring through an area that was once heavily guarded!"
     - The Getaway Guy

A 90-minute, narrated trip behind the fences of the former Seneca Army Depot!

After more than 70 years, the public can finally see the world’s largest herd of white, white-tailed deer, other wildlife, and the relics of 60 years of secret weapons storage. Visit one of the 519 earth-covered concrete igloos that stored everything from pistol cartridges to tactical missiles, from conventional bombs to nuclear warheads.

While they can’t guarantee where the mystical white deer will be, the tour guides know the best locations and will stop for pictures as deer and wildlife appear. Tour routes will vary according to the weather and season. This is your opportunity to see the hidden world and experience the magic of the white deer yourself.

The white deer found at Seneca Army Depot are a natural variation of the white-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus), which usually have brown coloring. The Seneca White Deer are leucistic, meaning they lack all pigmentation in the hair, but have the normal brown-colored eyes.
